And why I paid more for more than I needed

I’m five feet, one inch tall. Digging with a regular-sized shovel was always a challenge. Invariably, I’d stumble over the long handle or get it caught in the branches of a nearby tree.

So, last spring, I decided I’d had enough of trying to fit my shortness into a tall person’s idea of gardening and invested in an extendable shovel.
